Oden’s Original Loose - Expert Review

When people think of GN Tobacco, they often think of Oden’s Cold White Dry and Siberia Red. However, GN Tobacco does have a wide Odens range of normal, regular strength products with solid flavors! Oden’s Original is one that stands out to me. This one comes in both original portion, and lös, which we are talking about today. This is a traditional snus, for people who like the traditional, classic taste of bergamot and tobacco. The portion version is good, but today we’re talking about my favorite version, the loose variant!

In the aroma, I encounter a nice tobacco aroma, complimented with subtles notes of pepper, a faint sweetness, and a touch of citrus. The loose snus is staying well packed in my lip and I notice the flavor to come on pretty quickly. The flavor is traditional, citrus and tobacco. The tobacco base is mild, and slightly spicy with notes of pepper. The citrus comes through in a gentle way, with a touch of sweetness to it. I find the flavor to last a good amount of time, usually up to the 40-50 minute mark.

Now, let’s talk about strength. This one comes in at 9mg/g. However, the strength can vary based on how big you bake your prilla. Some will go lighter, and a half gram prilla would yield a 4.5mg nicotine strength. I usually go up to 2 grams, which yields an 18mg nicotine strength. So, this really depends on you, but you can make it as light, or as strong as you want.

GN Tobacco may be known for Siberia, but they make a lot of other products that are good, high quality snuses. This is one, for example, as is their Oden’s Original Portion. This is a cheaper alternative to say, General, for example, but has a solid flavor profile to it. If you like traditional flavored snus products, this is one you’ll want to check out.

I’ve been on an Oden’s Original kick lately. I’ve found myself mixing this one, and the portion version, into my rotation. It’s a pretty tasty snus, that is slightly different from the regular General, or Knox. It’s a pretty tasty snus, with a cheaper price tag. If you like traditional snus, this is one you will want to check out!
