ZYN Gold - Expert Review

ZYN Gold - Expert Review

When it comes to nicotine pouches, Zyn is one of the most popular lines out there. Zyn comes in a variety of formats and is sold in a variety of locations. It’s popular in the US, but it’s also popular in Sweden. The Zyn series makes a slim, moist pouch that is similar to Lyft/Velo and is sold in Sweden. They also make their more popular format, the mini dry format. The mini dry format is available in Sweden, but is also widely available in the US. They have recently released a few new variants in their Zyn mini dry format: Gold, and Black Cherry. In this review, we’re going to talk about Gold, the “tobacco” flavored one. Again, this is a tobacco-free product.ZYN Gold bottom can

In this review, I’m going to cover both products, as they’re basically the same thing other than the nicotine strength. When you open the can, you’ll notice a pretty interesting aroma. It’s earthy, and lightly sweet. It almost seems to have a touch of mocha to it. The pouches are small in size, and dry. If you’ve had Zyn before, you know what to expect with these. In the flavor profile, it’s intriguing. It’s smooth, and slightly sweet. It has a very faint touch of something that reminds me of coffee. And almost a little vanilla tone to it.

The nicotine on the 2/4 one feels quite low, and is much lower than regular strength. On the 4/4 one, it feels closer to regular strength. In terms of flavor longevity, it lasts around 30-40 minutes.

Wrap-Up & Recommendation:

Zyn is arguably one of the most popular nicotine pouches on the market today. And their mini dry format has a pretty large following. This one carries on the Zyn name but adds in their attempting at making something that tastes like tobacco. While not an exact tobacco clone, it does have attributes to it that are reminiscent of tobacco that tobacco consumers will enjoy. If you’re going tobacco-free but want something that has qualities of tobacco in the flavor profile, you may enjoy this one.

Snubie’s Opinion:

It is hard to make something without tobacco taste like tobacco. I haven’t encountered a single product yet that has captured it. However, some, like this one, are able to bring in flavor components and attributes that remind me of tobacco without making a product that tastes exactly like it contains tobacco. I was pretty impressed with this one, though. I dig what Swedish Match was going for in the flavor profile and don’t think it’s too bad!
