Ahlgrens Bilar Licorice tyres

Another car themed candy from Ahlgrens; Ahlgrens Bilar Lakritsdäck are shaped like car tyres, but don’t worry, they don’t have holes in them so there is plenty of candy in one bite. The wheels are small and brown; just like a candy wheel should be. Described as licorice tasting foam, they are more chewy than foamy and do not dissolve in the mouth, but rather linger there providing a delicious flavor. The salty licorice adds a slight tanginess to the taste buds without being overpowering.

The packaging of this Ahlgrens product is designed to capture the intensity of the licorice; black with a silver band through the centre and the name ‘bilar’ boldly shining forth in a vibrant red. A clear window gives the consumer a tantalising glimpse of the tasty tyres residing inside. The back of the 110g package features ingredients, nutritional information and a short history of the development of this line of candies.
