Turkisk Peppar, also know as Tyrkisk Peber, is a Scandinavian favourite; little nuggets of liquorice, each coated with a little bit of salt. The hard candy shell also hides an extra pocket of salmiak powder hidden in the centre of each candy. It is a strong taste, not for the faint hearted. Those that like their liquorice with a kick will be pleasantly surprised by the slight burn it leaves on the tongue. The candies are hard and crunchy with a surprise pop of extra saltiness once the outer shell is broken. The tangy kick to these yummy morsels will set off even the most dormant of taste buds.

The packaging is strong and eye-catching ‒ a dark blue bag with a series of giant flames, in the middle of which sit two of the Turkisk Peppar capsules. The package also places three smaller flames next to the word ‘original’ helpfully denoting the burn strength of the sweet.

A recent promotion by Fazer saw the Angry Birds go on an adventure to Turkisk Peppar Volcano. Bomb stuffs a Turkisk Peppar candy in his mouth and promptly explodes. A hilarious tongue in cheek nod to the explosive effect Turkisk Peppar has on the taste buds.
